The Abbey at Peace
As the Abbot says, "Idle hands do not contribute to the overall profit-maximizing nature of the enterprise" (or something like that). So we keep busy. Here are some recent activities:
The 2005 Pentathlon found the Abbey goofing off (sometimes called "judging": those who have time, make; those who don't, judge). But judging proved to be too much work, so we'll have to try again for 2007:
But there is some stuff going on. Jodis has retrieved a small sailing boat from the days of her youth (yes, they had boats back then), and efforts are underway to refurbish it enough to keep us afloat:
And we've been immortalized in print recently (our take on the maxim, "it pays to write your own press"). The September 2004 edition of Ars Caidis was all Abbey articles (and we've had a couple of other items in the January 2005 and April 2005 editions as well). For a list of efforts:
And not surprisingly, down in the Abbey's electronic catacombs, we have archives of some of our earlier projects and get-togethers
